Andy King

Hi, My name is Andy King and i am currently the Station Manager here at NH Sound.

It is a great honour to lead a very dedicated team of voluntary members here at NH Sound who are all helping myself take the station to new heights in broadcasting, without their help, the station would not be where it is today.

I am a valleys boy and live in Ebbw Vale with my fiance Ann, who also help out here at NH Sound and my 2 boys Macaulay And Liam.

I first got the radio bug when i started broadcasting on an holiday camps' internal radio station, from then on, it has never gone away.  I moved back home to Wales and started my own DJ'in business where i DJ in pubs, clubs and other venues throughout Wales and are available most types of events.

Following the success of my DJ'in, i decided to get involved with broadcasting and i must admit i have never looked back, it is great fun, i started work at my local radio station and then moved here to NH Sound where i must say, i feel most at home.

I am also an active member in a Welsh Assembly Government Project called Project Dynamo, where i promote the meaning of Entreprenaurship through secondary schools in Wales, i am also a leader with my local Cub Scout Group.

During my time on Air i will take through the decades with music from the 1950's up to Music of Today.  I will also give you Andys Golden Years, where you will need to decide the year from the music and information i give you all just for a fun few hours.
